How long does it take you to ship the backdrops I order?
Once you place your order, we send it to the printer and it takes ONE TO FOUR WEEKS for you to receive your backdrop. This time varies if we have a lot of print orders but we always aim for your drops to get to you within four weeks. Can I return the backdrop if I don't like it?
When you receive your backdrop and it has a defect that was NOT caused by improper handling we will re-print and re-ship a new one to you after you email us a photo of the defect. Please remember that a lot of these backdrops have a grunge/urban/distressed look to them and they are supposed to have cracks, paint splats, dirt, rust, etc. on them.
Will my backdrop look like the preview photo online?
We calibrate our monitors religiously that we create our backdrops on. The way the backdrop looks on our monitor is how it looks online, and is how it looks printed out on our banner material. After it's printed we inspect it to MAKE SURE the color is correct before shipping it out to you. Your monitor may not be calibrated or may be due to be calibrated and the color in the preview photo online may not look exactly the same as the drop your receive. If you are trying to exactly match up something in your studio to a backdrop, we ask you email us FIRST with a photo of what you'd like to match before ordering.
What type of material are the backdrops made out of?
We use a high quality, matte vinyl...the same type of material that large banners are printed on. Sometimes the thickness of the material can vary from order to order depending on the material our printer has available but we always use a matte vinyl to reduce glare. Whether yours are thicker or thinner, these backdrops will all photograph the same for you.
How Do I take care of my backdrop?
When not in use you should roll your backdrop up and put it back into the shipping tube you received it in. You can also lay it flat or leave it hanging on your backdrop stand. This will prevent any wrinkles or creases. You should never fold it. If it gets dirty, you can use a cloth with mild soap and water to wipe it clean.
How Do I hang my backdrop?
Your backdrop does not come with pockets, clips, or any type of device to hang it with. We suggest using the large heavy duty clips you can find at Home Depot or Lowes. Clip your backdrop to the top bar of your backdrop stand. Don't have a stand? You can google 'diy backdrop stand' and find many tutorials on making your own inexpensive stand.
What sizes do you offer?
Currently we offer 5 feet by 8 feet or 10 feet by 8 feet. If you'd like something smaller or larger please contact us at heather@thedropshoppe.com
Do you offer any quantity discounts?
Currently we are not offering any quantity discounts, we may be able to offer you a discount if you are ordering more than four and contact us first.
Can I send you a photo I took and have it made into a backdrop?
Yes! We can take your photo and create a custom backdrop for you for a $10 fee. Please email us first for details at heather@thedropshoppe.com

How should I light these backdrops? What type of strobes or flashes should I use?
We suggest feathering your lighting so it's not hitting your backdrop, only hitting the subject for the best results. See our blog for more information, specifically this post:
